I am living and working in Oman as a teacher as we were just not coping financially in S.A. We are renting our property out in Beach Rd, Nahoon and I got the shock of my life when I opened my Buffalo City account and received a bill of R69887.75. I then paid my average of R5000 per month as this was clearly a huge error. My husband then managed to get hold of someone to help and the next month I recived an account of R13332.26 which I again then paid R5000 as this amount is excessive. I have never not paid an account or defaulted with BCM through all these years. I have received no emails or correspondence at all besides the account. Then we topped up the main metre for the tenants of R3000 and 3 days later it was finished. When we tried to figure out what the problem was . they had taken a service fee of R2400 out of the R3000 that we had paid. So that only left R500 for electricity. I then paid the balance of incorrect account of R8332, just so that we could put in more electricity. Is there anyone who can explain to me what is going on & how will they go about crediting me for this money that they just take off my electricity account even when it is an error from Buffalo City and with no communication whatsoever.
