Water query - high consumption <div><br></div><div>Resolved 28 June 2021 with explanation to the consumer: </div><div><ul style="margin-top:0cm" type="disc"><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Meter has been
converted to a smart meter and is read on the same day of every month (21<sup>st</sup>)
since Aug 2020<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Current consumption
is averaging between 23-27kl per month and has been the same constant
average since 2018, prior to the smart meter conversion.<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Even though water tanks
are installed, there could still be an undetected leak which may not be
visible to the eye (example: dripping toilets, worn washers, underground
leaks, are common causes of leaks)<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">The rand value on the
account is affected because of the stage 3 penalty tariffs.<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Even though the
consumption of 2018/2019 was similar to the consumption of this year, the
rand value will be affected because of the excess water above 21+kl<o:p></o:p></li>
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Account was back
charged in March 2020 with 121 kl over 5 months as the meter was not read
from Sept 2019 to Feb 2020, but the average usage equates to 24 and is in
line with prior and current usage.</li>
