Query received from CFO Office enquiring water charges<div><br></div><div>QRC RESPONSE: Query Resolved</div><div>Consumer (Mr Allistair Lottering) contacted telephonically conversation earlier withregards to the account and explained:</div><div>• The meter and readings are assessed to be in order.</div><div>• The consumption used is based on the readings obtained.</div><div>• Readings history indicates a fluctuation in water usage over the past 3 years and has recently dropped to less than 20kl. Mr Lottering has confirmed that no leaks were repaired on the property.</div><div>• From Jan 2020 to Feb 2022, the municipality had implemented stage 3 punitive tariffs on consumption that exceeded 20+kl.</div><div>• This means that any consumption above 20+kl were penalized at x5 times higher tariffs, which therefore affected the rand value.</div><div>• Reading history indicates there were periods where the average usage was above 24+kl and therefore attracted stage 3 punitive tariffs.</div><div><br></div><div>Consumption of 2019/2020 period to be assessed with a possible spread.</div><div>Consumer advised to consult with their rental agent to contact the municipality to see if the account would qualify for the debt incentive scheme currently on offer where consumers may benefit from a potential write off of debt (Ts and Cs apply)</div><br/><b>Journal Number</b>: [462608]<br/><b>Journal Amount</b>: [-R7,326.29]
